Arietis

is a radiant wine, which perfectly expresses the Marne’s right bank.

Parcel: La Perchotte.
Altitude: 130 to 155 m.
Exposure: Southern.
Surface Area: 619 m2.

Parcel: La Forzie.
Altitude: 174 to 176 m.
Exposure: southern.
Surface Area: 301 m2.
Surface Area: 920 m2.

Geology and Terroir.
Geological Origin: lutetian. Soils located between two geological strata, first of all, sandy-limestone and then clay-marl.

Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Meunier.

Organic Vine-growing.
Organic certification since the 2023 harvest.

Total soil tilling since 2015. Implementation of bio-dynamic growing in 2016. Weedkiller and synthetic substance free.
Use of fermented extracts and plant infusions.

Pressing, winemaking, maturing.
The extracted juice is not separated, in view of better respecting the grape berry in its entirety. Exclusively elaborated in 400-litre barrels. Alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeast.
No malo-lactic fermentation, no stirring.

Dosage: 0 g/l .

Located in Vandières, these two historic parcels come from my maternal grandmother’s side, the surname of which was Bellier. Ariétis is the brightest star in the constellation of Aries.

Tasting Notes.
Colour: luminous/ golden. 
Aromas: complex/ well ripened / spicy.
Summertime fruit: peach / black berry / apricot.
Fruity: Granny Smith apple.
Palate: harmonious / tasty / solid / crisp. 

Bubbles: tonic / vibrant / expressive.

Serve chilled, 8-9 °C.

Pairing
When you feel like creating a pleasant atmosphere, around you and the dining experience. This is the bottle to share with good company, and Asian or Oriental cuisine.
