Aria

This wine is largely derived from one of the estate’s superb historic parcels that stretches over 180 metres. Year 2019.  

Parcel: Les Longues Raies.
Altitude: 130 to 155 m.
Exposure: southern
Surface Area: 1800 m2.

Geology and Terroir.
Geologic Origin: lutetian. Ochre and rust-coloured stones, with millstones.

Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay. 

Organic Vine-growing.
Organic certification since the 2023 harvest.
Total soil tilling since 2015. Implementation of bio-dynamic growing in 2016.
Weedkiller and synthetic substance free. Use of fermented extracts and plant infusions.  

Pressing, winemaking, maturing.
Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeast. Exclusively elaborated in casks.
Aged in cellars for at least 5 years. 
 

Dosage: 3 g/l.

Contrary to the village’s tradition, Xavier Leconte planted Chardonnay here. Soil analysis results showed that their profile matched perfectly well with that of the great white variety.

Tasting Notes.
Colour: radiant / pale yellow.
Aromas: refined and well structured.
Floral: acacia / jasmine.
Fruity: citrus fruit: mandarin / pineapple jam.
Orchard: peach / wild apricot/ black berry.
Palate: sophisticated / crisp / lively / full bodied.

Bubbles: elegant / persistent. 

Serve chilled, 8-9 °C.

This is a high flying offering, well suited to fine food pairings, both audacious and traditional alike.
